These grand temples are a fantastic sight and are both the place of worship and architectural marvel. 1. Lotus Temple, New Delhi, India

In many religions, including the Baha’i faith, the lotus is precious. It is a floral symbol that implies enlightenment, purity, and rebirth. New Delhi’s Baha’i House of Worship, popularly known as the Temple of the Lotus, takes the form of one to symbolize humanity’s unity and faith.

2. Wat Rong Khun, Chiang Rai, Thailand

Wat Rong Khun is Thailand’s undiscovered wonder. Its distinctive architecture is enlisted in the Thai Buddhist tradition. Wat Rong Khun has a pure white appearance that almost seems like it is glowing. The majestic contemporary Buddhist temple, perhaps best known by outsiders as the White Temple, will be completed in 2070.

3. Temple Mount, Jerusalem, Israël

In Christianity, Judaism, and Islam, Jerusalem is a famous region, and the Temple Mount is an important place for all of these three religions. Besides being the most sacred site in Judaism, it is the place where Abraham offered up his son as a sacrifice. Temple Mount is also the third most holy site for Muslims, with the legendary Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsa Mosque constructed here.

4. Kotoku-In, Kamakura, Japan

Kotoku-In is a Buddhist temple known for being the birthplace of Kamakura’s Great Buddha, the most significant outdoor Buddha of Japan. During the blooming season, Azaleas color, the scenery, and the temple get surrounded by hundreds of gardens.

India’s Golden Temple or Sri Harminder Sahib is one of Sikhism’s most popular worship spots in Amritsar. It got its name because it is gold plated with over 400 kg of gold. It is a place with exceptional beauty and peacefulness. The temple emphasizes on acts of kindness and feeds about 20,000 people every day for free and up to 100,000 people on special events. It is the most visited temple in the world as well.

6. Wat Benchamabophit, Bangkok, Thailand

Wat Benchamabophit, a landmark of the renowned city of Bangkok — also recognized by foreigners as the Marble Temple. It is an outstanding example of traditional Thai architecture. It is of imported Italian marble with a noticeable red roof and striking golden outdoors. 

7. Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi, India

Over 8,000 volunteers from around the globe helped create the Swaminarayan Akshardham Hindu Temple in New Delhi, taking over 300 million hours of volunteer work. It is one of the best temples in the world. This impressive architectural work in India’s capital, New Delhi, has been made up of sandstone and marble. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a courtyard.
