Going on vacation is a great escape from the troubles of life, work, and the normal everyday world. Sometimes when we go away though we encounter more crowds than we do on our bus at home and it can cause more headaches instead of curing the stress that you were hoping to get rid of. When you go on holiday and the pool is packed, the restaurants are crowded, the streets are busy, it can be overwhelming and it definitely doesn’t fit the idea of “getting away” or “escaping”. This is an even bigger problem for celebrities who really need to find somewhere secluded to holiday or they get pestered by the average person asking for selfies or stalking them at the bar. For these celebrities, there are some truly isolated options available to them (and you) yet they come at a high price. Let’s take a look at some of the best escapes the world has to offer.

To find a true escape you don’t even need to leave the United States. If you are willing to go to Oregon or even Florida there are some beautiful escapes on offer. In Oregon, you can find (although not too easily) the Tu Tu Tun Lodge located near Gold Beach. Tu Tu Tun offers isolation because it is truly off the beaten track. You will be surrounded by water and woods and while you can engage in activities like fly fishing and rafting don’t expect it to be crowded. The lodge will only take a limited number of guests at one time and the location is so secluded that if the paparazzi were to try and get close they would be easily spotted and removed from the area. This is a place that you can truly unwind.

Florida too offers seclusion. The Little Palm Island Resort and Spa can only be accessed by seaplane or boat. This means there are no package holidays going here and no unwanted visitors. The resort offers 30 private beach bungalows that mean you don’t even need to share the accommodation with anyone. You can have your own beach bungalow and truly escape the world.

If you are willing to leave the USA though you can find some high-quality options with even more privacy. If you travel to Northern India for example you can find the Oberoi Vanyavilas. This hotel is in the deep countryside right next to a nature reserve. While you won’t be bothered by people you may come across a few surprise animals with bears, leopards, elephants, and tigers all in the area.

Boracay is one of the busiest tourist spots in the world. It has some beautiful beaches but local authorities have started to shut some of them down due to overcrowding and pollution. It is terrible to see how large crowds can really ruin a pristine location. Of course, if you have the money you don’t have to face that reality. The Shangri-La Private Hotel and Spa offers seclusion, private beaches, and the best quality service that money can buy. This is probably the only way to visit somewhere as popular as Boracay without leaving more tired than when you came.

These are just a few of our favorite places. While the price is not cheap the tranquility that you will receive is absolutely priceless. Of course, if you don’t have the funds for a trip like this there are alternative options. Some people pretend to go to a faraway location but just stay at home. This type of staycation is cheap and can allow you to switch off from the rest of the world without spending anything.
